Description

”Hotline“ is an interface to the hive mind. Ask anything you’d like (human) answers, opinions or insights to and Hotline will send the answers your way – as they arrive.

Hotline will also gather background information, images and references from third party services such as Twitter.

Technically, Hotline is built on the latest release of Rails. Sidekiq handles the background jobs, Pusher the socket IO and ElasticSearch helps finding the right questions. The UI is constructed with Haml & Sass and driven by Coffeescript. Authentication and authorization are handled with Devise and CanCan and our test suite runs on RSpec and Capybara (using the webkit driver).

The design is responsive and should work without Javascript as well.
