We used:

- of course, we love rails ;-)
- reactjs a bit... but it's cool!
- we found the project recordmp3js (https://github.com/nusofthq/Recordmp3js), which was very cool. We polished the code and made a gem (endenis/recordmp3js-rails). We're going to make this gem usable by other projects to easily record mp3 audio in rails apps.
- apparently jquery is still in use
- slim is nicer than erb
- scss is nicer than css (I'm not cool enough for postcss yet)
