Description

Filed in Aggregation.

Mantainers of open source projects are often annoyed by bad comments and flames. It's time to change this and make them happy and proud for the hard work they do for all of us.
Don't let them to burn out, take the chance to show some love to your favourite open soruce project!

We are Source Lovers and we'd like to help you building donation pages for your open source projects. Fund raising the hacker way.

We used the Paypal donation button:
- https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_donate-intro-outside

We used PostrgreSQL as our database. This has let us easily provide (via the pg_search gem) a full-text search feature for projects in our web-app. We also used HStore PostgreSQL extension.

We make use of GitHub WebHook to automatically generate and update a project's page on our site.

Async tasks triggered by GitHub WebHook are processed with Sidekiq.

Our app is served by Apache and Passenger on ubuntu 12.04.
